Asahi is proud to support the Lead 2030 challenge for MDG 10, to reduce inequalities within and between countries, with a focus on women's rights and representation.


One Young World has teamed up with the LEAD network to help them increase the representation of women in business.

The challenge aims to connect with and support solutions that have a positive impact on the well-being and future of vulnerable women in society by enabling them to feel they belong through greater inclusion and representation in their communities.

Challenges
  • The challenge welcomes solutions from young innovators who :
    • Creating equal access to opportunities for women in all social and economic spheres.
    • Creating an inclusive culture and environment for disabled and older women.
    • Engage employees in global volunteering initiatives to promote and support women in their local communities.
    • Creating solutions for women who are personally and in their communities affected by alcohol-related problems.
  • Possible solutions may include, but are not limited to:
    • Pa rtnering with for-profit and/or non-governmental organisations to develop a partnership to support women.
    • Support women by creating access to healthcare, justice, education and safety, and by raising awareness of the discrimination and prejudice faced by women.
    • Greater inclusion and representation of women in politics, sport, the arts and culture.
    • Solutions that enable organisations to support the reduction of inequalities for women in their local communities.
Benefits Leading the 2030 challenge to reduce inequalities

The winning solution will receive :

  • Spo nsorship to take part in the summit One Young World 2022 in Tokyo from 16 to 19 May
  • A 50,000 $ US grant from Asahi
  • 12 months of mentoring by a team of Asahi professionals. The mentoring team will work to accelerate your solution based on the needs of your initiative or organisation, such as:
    • Busin strategy
    • Best practices for data collection
    • Control and assessment
    • Prod uc conception t
Criteria Leading the 2030 challenge to reduce inequalities
  • Align d : Of course aligned with the challenge.
  • Youth-led: Founded by a person aged between 18 and 30.
  • Focused: a well-structured timeframe, identified stakeholders and key beneficiaries, and reasonable and well thought-out proposed outcomes.
  • Market-ready: product/service already on the market or ready to be marketed.
  • Impactful: solutions must have a positive social impact, for example by creating jobs or developing skills.
  • Measurable: The impact of the solutions must have been properly measured and/or be measurable.
  • Financially viable: Must be able to achieve efficiency and survive independently thanks to the resources they generate and/or the investments and donations they attract.
  • Scalable: Potential to perform as well or better after extending its range or size and/or being transported to other regions.
