In the United States educators can apply for grants for instruments and supplies to facilitate environmental research and data collection on young people. Visit students Participants must produce research projects and share data via publicly accessible (or non-proprietary) data-sharing platforms. Environmental research is required for this grant and must be explained in the grant application. Beneficiaries must undertake to support students in carrying out research projects and to share their observations and reports.
U.S. environmental educators and organizations can apply for grants for research local student events (SRS). Local SRS supported by YLACES should be based on the GLOBE Regional SRS model, but should be one-day events with student participants from a school, one or more school districts, a region or a small area.
Environmental educators or international organisations can submit grant applications for tools and supplies to facilitate environmental research and data collection among young people with the support of their country's GLOBE programme.
Subsidies YLACES does not fund staff time and will only cover modest amounts for the computer equipment needed by students to record and report measurements.
