UNESCO x Seventeen grant programme "Moving forward together - For the creativity and well-being of young people".

UNESCO, Seventeen and Pledis Entertainment (hereinafter the "Organisers") are jointly launching the Global Youth Grant Scheme initiative entitled "Going Together - For Youth Creativity and Well-being".

Going together - For the creativity and well-being of young people is an initiative implemented by UNESCO, Seventeen and Pledis Entertainment, which aims to support young people's ideas to flourish and grow. to help meet the challenges affecting the well-being and development of young people and their communities. As such, it provides them with the resources and skills to implement innovative projects that have a positive social impact in their communities.

Objectives
  • The objectives of the initiative are as follows:
    • Empowering young people by developing their skills and offering them opportunities to turn their visions into tangible actions with a social impact.
    • Bringing young people closer to role models, offering them opportunities to engage meaningfully with youth-focused stakeholders.
    • Involve young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by making them part of the solution.
    • Provide young people with resources to develop and implement their innovative projects.
Themes
  • Acknowledging that the 17 SDGs are indivisible and interdependentThe innovative youth-led solutions supported by the initiative will contribute to advancing those SDGs that align with UNESCO's mandate and areas of competence and where UNESCO has a strategic contribution to make (i.e. SDGs 4, 5, 6, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 16).
  • The applications submitted must propose innovative youth-led projects that address the challenges affecting the well-being and development of young people and their communities, in particular by supporting young people's creativity, in the following thematic areas:
    • Promoting confidence and resilience in young people through music, arts and sport
    • Building creative communities with young people
    • Supporting young people's mental health and well-being
Information on funding
  • Each of the projects taking part in the programme will receive funding of between $5,000 and $10,000, subject to the availability of funds, to be paid in three separate instalments.
Project implementation
  • Projects that can be implemented within a maximum of nine months of being notified of their selection may be eligible for the initiative.
Criteria
  • Anyone who :
    • Identify themselves as "young people" in the 18 to 30 age bracket from the start to the end of the subsidy programme.
    • Are active in their communities, either individually or as members of organisations, associations, networks or social enterprises.
  • Youth-led projects must meet the following criteria:
    • The following fall within the scope of :
      • Young people's ideas to support and strengthen young people's wellbeing and community building that need seed funding;
      • ongoing projects related to the well-being of young people and community building that have a proven social impact and require support; and
      • ongoing projects with a proven social impact that need to be stepped up.
    • To be implemented within 9 months.
    • Be local or national in scope
  • The initiative must be implemented by a team of at least 3 young people with a clearly identified project leader.
  • Youth-led organisations/associations/networks/businesses working on the themes set out in article 5 may also participate. For the purposes of the call, the application must be made by a young person (within the age range identified above) representing the organisation. This person will be the one who participates in the activities of the "GOING TOGETHER - For the creativity and well-being of young people" programme on behalf of his or her organization. organisation.
  • English will be the working language for the entire initiative. All project proposals must be submitted in English and all exchanges with the organisers and mentors will be in English, unless otherwise agreed between participants and mentors.
  • Young people currently working at UNESCO or Pledis Entertainment will not be able to apply.
