Community investment objectives
  • They invest in and support development projects community requiring modest amounts of capital. They finance projects that belong to the local community, whose social impact and return on investment can be measured and whose success can be sustained. In a spirit of innovation, they target a diverse 'portfolio' of projects and geographies to spread creative solutions.
  • They strive to discover and apply the best practices of social investment at a personal level on a small scale. Their process invites an ongoing direct connection with the sponsored community rather than a single, anonymous donation. NextWorldNow Community Investments (NWN) is working with individuals, communities and other organisations to achieve this. They invite communities with project ideas to apply for funding. They review applications and make funding decisions. They welcome evolving partnerships with other organisations on joint projects. They invest in solutions that are designed to last, going beyond short-term solutions to long-standing problems. They continue to refine their process as they learn more about what works and what doesn't. NWN is a private, not-for-profit foundation with 501 (c) (3) status in the United States.
