The Explorers Club is pleased to announce an open call for the Rolex Explorers Club Grants Programme.

The scholarships The Rolex Explorers Club sends extraordinary young explorers into the field and promotes the important role that exploration plays in solving problems. scientists and the world in which they live, and learning about history to protect the future.

• Historically, grants of 10,000 $ were awarded.

Eligibility criteria

• This programme is open to all field science disciplines. In addition to demonstrating a spirit of exploration, applicants must present a research project or proposal that has a clear scientific rationale, represents original work and has the potential to have a significant impact or generate new knowledge.
• Open to explorers under 35 who are carrying out fieldwork to answer a new scientific, environmental or historical question.
• Note that the Explorers Club will not be in a position to examine proposals from research for work carried out in China or by Chinese citizens. The Explorers Club is considered to be a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and we do not currently comply with Chinese regulations concerning the granting of subsidies by NGOs.
