"The most important thing, I think, is to have led people to have confidence in themselves, to understand that at last they can sit down and write about their development, write about their happiness and say what they want. And at the same time, to feel what the price is for happiness".

"KOMBI SONSGA" SINIGNASIGUI GIVES A VOICE TO THE POOR CHILDREN OF ZAGTOULI TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES THROUGH PAINTING

Since 2016, Burkina Faso has faced terrorist attacks that have forced around 1.8 million people to flee their homes. people to flee their homes. In September 2020, more than a million people were internally displaced. Among them are many children who, with their parents, are forced to start their lives again in refuge areas. These children are often ignored and their voices are not heard.

The project "Kombi Sonsga aims to give a voice to these children by enabling them to express their views on the crisis situation and their living conditions, using art as a means of expression. The children, from both the refuge areas and the outlying districts of Zagtouli, will take part in artistic activities such as drawing and painting on the walls of the SINIGNANSIGI centre. SINIGNANSIGI is a socio-cultural organisation that has been operating in Burkina Faso since November 2006. Its head office is in Zagtouli. SINIGNANSIGI aims to help reintegrate vulnerable children into society and the workplace through art, school sponsorship, financial aid, the fight against child abuse and the reintegration of destitute women.

We know that the crisis in Burkina Faso cannot be resolved by military means alone, but through communication and awareness-raising. Through the "Kombi Sonsga"The drawings and paintings will serve as a means of introspection and reflection on the situation of children in times of crisis and conflict resolution. This initiative will create a permanent framework for artistic expression for the disadvantaged children of Zagtouli through similar actions;

The aim is to create a permanent framework for artistic expression for disadvantaged children, to develop their self-confidence, reinforce their solidarity and responsibility, and encourage their reintegration. The project also aims to raise national and international awareness of the situation of children in times of crisis. GONDE Ramata, who left her village more than a year ago, believes that " Weapons cannot put an end to war. Only dialogue around a table can resolve this tragedy. ". With deep determination and ardent hope, she engraved this message on the walls: " God is Great ".
