The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is pleased to announce the launch of the Young Experts Programme (YEP), which aims to enhance the skills and develop the capabilities of the next generation of global intellectual property (IP) leaders to help create innovation ecosystems around the world.

As part of this competitive 2-year programme, 10 talented young professionals will work directly on the various initiatives of WIPO. Le programme offers exposure to the technical and strategic aspects of property intellectualYEP participants acquire skills and knowledge that can contribute to the future economic growth of their country and region.

The YEP is not intended to be a recruitment tool for WIPO, but to train leaders of the property As such, and in line with practice in similar programmes, participants in the programme will not be permitted to apply for employment at WIPO during their tenure. The participants will also not be allowed to work at or for WIPO during the two years following the end of their participation in the YEP.

Eligibility criteria

• Maximum age of 35 at the time the application is submitted
• Available for 24 months for 2025 - 2026
• A university degree
• At least 2 years' relevant experience
• Excellent analytical, research and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Knowledge or experience of intellectual property, innovation or creativity
