- Our Kids Climate is specifically looking for scholarship holders who work on one (or more) of the following :
- Build strong groups and organisations that have the potential to make a significant impact at national, regional or global level. Strong candidates in this category are likely to work at municipal, national, regional or global level. global.
- Influencing decision-makers at local, national or international level through bold and creative campaigns focused on air quality, challenging the power of the fossil fuel industry and its enablers, and/or a fair transition to renewable energy. - Inspire large-scale communication and community engagement strategies through which parents, grandparents, carers, aunts, uncles and elders are inspired and motivated to push for bold climate solutions. Strong candidates in this category are likely to work at national, regional or global level.
Information on funding
- Grants will range from US$15,000 $ to US$20,000 $. It is important to note that awardees will be responsible for paying national tax after receiving the funding and for some awardees, receiving this allowance may affect, for example, the benefits to which they are entitled.
- The allowance will be paid in four instalments.
- The scholarship holders selected will receive a grant to help them carry out their work as part of this project. programme 12-month scholarships.
Eligibility criteria
- To be eligible for the Climate Grant Parentyou MUST :
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Being someone who is at the management level of a project or a group, an organisation, a strategy or a not-for-profit idea.
- Fluency or proficiency in English, including: submitting a full application in English, following the instructions on the application form.
- Submit an application in which you share your personal contribution to the development of the work of your initiative (the bursary is NOT a grant application and does not accept applications from organisations);
- Provide clear and focused answers to all questions. Vague answers or over-reliance on AI-generated content will result in disqualification from the selection process.
- The scholarship is open to applicants from all geographical regions.
- To be eligible for the Climate Parent grant, your idea, project, group or organisation MUST :
- Be linked to intergenerational and/or parent-led and/or family-focused climate work.
- Intergenerational initiatives are projects, organisations, campaigns or climate strategies that involve two or more generations (e.g. parents and children, seniors and young people, etc.).
- Parent-led initiatives are projects, organisations, campaigns or climate strategies run by parents, carers or grandparents, with the specific aim of mobilising other parents, carers or grandparents.
- Family-focused initiatives are projects, organisations, campaigns and climate strategies that place the involvement of families at the heart of their work. They could be led by any age group.
- Please note: In certain circumstances, they will consider supporting a fellow from an organisation that has received a bursary in the past, but no more than three people from the same project, group, organisation, strategy or idea can take part in the Climate Parent bursary within a five-year period.
