Entries are now open for the Photography and Literature Competition, an international photography competition addressing the challenge of literature. This competition is open to photographers and concerns works inspired by specific literary works. The choice of literary form (poetry, prose, drama, etc.) is open.

The selected winners will be presented at the TDDL (26-30 June 2024) in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.
Price information
- The main prizes, sponsored by KELAG, are :
- 800 for 1st place,
- 500 for second place,
- 300 for third place
Criteria
- A single participation per person will be accepted.
- Entry to the competition is free. There is no entry fee.
- Only works created using photographs (including photograms, collages, scans, etc.) may be submitted.
- Email submissions will not be accepted.
- Uploaded files must meet the following formal criteria: JPEG, PNG max. 9 MB
- The winners are determined anonymously and behind closed doors by a jury whose members are freely chosen by wortimbild.
- The winners will be informed after the jury meeting.
- All other participants will not be notified. You can find out the results at www.wortimbild.at.
- Wortimbild is responsible for producing the works selected by the jury for the following exhibition.
- The works produced remain the property of wortimbild and may be used for events or exhibitions.
- No submission may infringe the copyright, rights of use or other intellectual property rights or personal rights of third parties.
- The tenderers guarantee this and are liable to wortimbild in this respect.
- By entering the competition, participants agree to the recording and storage of their personal and professional data.
- You agree to the public use of this data and your work submitted as part of wortimbild's activities.
- Participants grant the organiser and its event partners a non-exclusive, worldwide right to use the works and texts they submit as part of the competition and subsequent exhibition.
- The organiser and its partners/sponsors of the event may publish and reproduce the works and texts submitted as part of the competition free of charge.
- This includes (but is not limited to): the presentation of the winning works in the final exhibition and other public exhibitions organised by the competition organiser or its event partners. All types of publication on the website of the competition organiser and event partners, as well as in advertising material and other competition-related products (such as catalogues, books, etc.) even after the exhibition has ended. Transfer of these rights to the media for publication and reproduction as part of reporting on the competition and exhibition. However, these rights only apply to non-commercial use. In the case of commercial use, the express consent of the author is of course required.
- There are no legal rights to the prize money and the production of the work by wortimbild and the exhibition of the work. Any warranty and liability of wortimbild and its contractual partners is excluded - to the extent permitted by law.
- In the event of any ambiguity or contradiction between the German original and a foreign-language translation of these conditions of participation, the German text shall apply.
- These conditions of participation are binding.
