Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has announced the International Development Fellows Programme to pursue a career in international relief and development work.
CRS enables grant-holders to develop their skills and gain practical experience in the field, while contributing to the work of the Group.

The Fellowship is a unique 12-month professional development opportunity, designed to prepare Fellows for success in a range of future positions with CRS. The Fellowship focuses on building skills in the following four areas:

Advantages of International Development Scholarships
At CRS, they value the health and well-being of employees and offer benefits to meet your needs and those of your family. Benefits include an international medical plan, dental and vision insurance, generous holiday entitlements, a highly competitive pension scheme and family allowances for overseas staff. CRS also prioritises and invests in the safety and security of staff and provides travel and property insurance, disability cover and employee assistance programmes.
- Medical / Dental / Vision: the Fellows benefit from an international medical plan as well as vision cover with zero deductibles for network providers and low co-insurance and co-payments.
- Safe furnished accommodation : CRS provides each fellow with basic furnished accommodation, which includes electricity, running water, internet and security services (if required). The grantee's accommodation is usually a flat or house close to the CRS office.
- Paid leave (holidays, disease and personal): CRS provides Fellows with 20 days of paid holiday and 12 days of sick leave per year. In addition, they offer 4 personal days to deal with emergency or non-emergency situations arising during a normally scheduled working day.
- Travel and medical evacuation : CRS covers relocation expenses such as transportation to and from the country of assignment, visas, vaccinations, etc. In addition, CRS provides medical evacuation coverage financed at 100 % by the employer for the grantee and his/her dependents.
- Retirement benefits (403B) : CRS offers a top-up of 50 % on the first 6 % of contributions as well as a contribution of 7 % of salary regardless of employee contributions, after six months of service. (Note: employees without a national insurance number are eligible to participate in an offshore pension fund with the same contribution calculation).
- Continuing education: during Upon hire, fellows have access to CRS' robust online learning platform. In addition, CRS will reimburse up to 5,200 $ per year to employees pursuing diplomas and professional qualifications, after one year's employment.

Minimum scholarship requirements
- Diploma of studies higher education in a relevant field
- At least six months' work or voluntary experience in a developing country
- Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional command of a second language (preference given to French, Arabic and Portuguese)
- Will to working in areas affected by tropical and infectious diseases and limited access to medical facilities.
