The Harambee Africa International Foundation is launching the X International Prize "Transmitting Africa" to contribute to a more accurate image of Africa, reflecting its challenges, its hopes, the richness and diversity of its peoples and cultures, and its ongoing commitment to development and urgent needs.

Le price aims to highlight the greatness of small stories. The aim is not to present a naïve or simplistic vision of Africa, but to show that alongside the many difficulties, there is also hope and serious work being done by many people and organisations. organizations.
Competition categories and themes
- The competition welcomes audiovisual productions that illustrate stories of courage, development, integration and solidarity, and is divided into four categories:
- Category A : Professional audiovisuals by private individuals lasting up to 60 minutes.
- Category B : Professional audiovisuals of a maximum duration of 60 minutes by non-profit organisations.
- Category C : Professional audiovisuals by commercial entities lasting up to 60 minutes.
- Category D : Audiovisuals made by young creative people under the age of 25, lasting no more than 5 minutes.
- For the latter categoryWhile direct experience of Africa is not required, stories exploring themes of personal growth, coexistence and integration are encouraged.
- Particular attention will be paid to contributions that offer an authentic vision and can tell where Africa is heading, highlighting the continent's opportunities, challenges and progress. Participants are encouraged to submit works that reflect Africa's reality and perspectives, offering a positive and inspiring account of the Africa of today and tomorrow. Priority will be given to the following themes
- The value of education and training as essential means of achieving the full promotion of the individual and peaceful development of African society.
- Respect for the dignity of the human person, whatever their social, economic or cultural condition.
- The value of solidarity and mutual aid.
- The fundamental role of the family in individual growth and the development of society.
- Positive experiences of integration in European societies, fostering intercultural understanding and harmonious coexistence.
Price information
- A jury of experts in the field will evaluate the works submitted and select the winners for each category. The jury reserves the right not to award prizes in all categories.
- The cost of participation to the event are the responsibility of the winners. The cash prize (subject to applicable tax obligations) is EUR 1,000 each for categories a), b), c); a total of EUR 500 for youth audiovisual, category D).
Conditions of participation
- Entrants must submit an audiovisual that aligns with the themes described and fits into one of the categories listed.
- The audiovisual may be in the original language, but in the case of languages other than English, French, Italian and Spanish, subtitles must be included.
