Eligibility criteria for writing blogs
- Participants must be enrolled in a secondary school or a version of a secondary school. teaching They must be aged between 15 and 19 at the time of submission.
- Applications may be submitted in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
- The winning entries will be published in English.
- There is no fee to enter the competition.
Blogging criteria
Submissions must include:
- A blog or strong essay, no more than 500 words.
- Your name, age, school, e-mail address and country of residence.
- Optional: any photos, videos or visualisations that help support your story.
Criteria for judging blog writing
- Applications will be judged by a high-level panel compound senior officials from the World Bank, the Financial Times and selected partners.
- The full names of the judges are available on request.
- Judging will take place in March 2022 and winners will be contacted and announced around April 2022 on the World Bank blog and the Financial Times website, unless a winner objects to publication of their name at the time of entry.
- Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, quality of writing and solutions presented.
- The decision of the jury is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners will be contacted via the contact details provided with their submission.
