The JWF Fund aims to contribute to the resolution local water problems in developing countries by helping to implement sustainable solutions led by local organisations.
Water potableAs a result, they will greatly appreciate any proposals for water projects, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), as they did last year.
Information on funding
- Up to USD 1,500 per project
- As part of the JWF 2024 Fund, around five projects will be financed.
- One application/project per group will be accepted
Eligible projects
- Projects of the following types will be considered:
- Construction or repair of a water supply resource, such as a well and reservoir
- Installation of a small-scale water supply system
- Construction or repair of sanitary and hygiene facilities
- Maintaining/improving a water resources environment
- Installation or promotion of a system irrigation water-saving
- Implementation of a water-related disaster risk mitigation programme
Eligibility criteria
- Any local organisation working in a country or territory classified as a Least Developed Country (LDC), Low Income Country (LIC) or Lower Middle Income Country (LMIC) by the OECD DAC can apply to the JWF.
- National governments governments Local authorities, private companies, funding institutions, international organisations and religious groups are not eligible to apply for the fund.
