We are pleased to invite you to the International Conference of NGO Evaluators that ICFO, the international association of NGO evaluators, and Fundación Lealtad will organise on Thursday 23 March in Madrid. It will be held in person and online, in Spanish and English. We look forward to your participation.
We would also be delighted if you would circulate the invitation to staff, NGOs, stakeholders ... via email, social media and internal communication channels. You are all welcome, as the agenda is designed to appeal to all those who believe that giving is good for the receiver, but also for the giver. Under the theme "Building Trust", we will bring together evaluators from around the world, NGOs, donors, businesses and the media to learn how to give effectively.
There is no doubt that trust is a key element in relationships of all kinds, whether personal or professional. However, it is a paradox that the more information we have access to and the more we talk about transparency, the less we use all the data that is available to us. This is the case in all areas, including the third sector.
There are organisations dedicated to building trust: NGO evaluators. We brought together the world's leading evaluators in Madrid to present their work and the added value they bring to donors, companies, corporate foundations, the media and the third sector.
We will be talking to the world's leading evaluators, the US presidents of BBB Wise Giving Alliance and Charity Navigator, as well as the directors of evaluators from Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico and Switzerland.
Edelman will present the level of trust in institutions around the world. We will discuss with NGOs what trust in their organisations means. We will also learn how institutional donors select the NGOs they work with. Finally, a journalist will explain how to get involved in a cause.
The conference will be held on Thursday 23 March at COAM-Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid (Calle Hortaleza, 63) from 9:00 to 14:30. A cocktail will be served at the end of the event until 16:00. The event can also be followed online, in Spanish and English.
