Yale University is currently accepting applications for the 2022 World Fellows programme.

The programme offers World Fellows the opportunity to broaden their vision, learn from each other and develop personally and professionally. World Fellows contribute to the intellectual life of Yale, giving lectures and participating in panels, collaborating with peers, auditing courses, and mentoring students.

Global Fellows are rising stars from all sectors and across all borders. They scour the world for people who think outside the box, challenge outdated solutions and create new ways to solve the world's biggest problems. Ideal World Fellow candidates have demonstrated their impact, are in the midst of career progression and have the ambition to develop their full potential.

The key elements of the programme are

• Weekly seminars
  • Good Society. Fellows from around the world present their vision for making the world a better place, what they do professionally and how they contribute to building the 'good society'.
  • Salon. The World Fellows host distinguished guests for discussions on key topics, broadening their knowledge and challenging their points of view.
• Personal development
  • World Fellows receive individual and group coaching and skills development training. World Fellows may audit many of the more than 2,000 courses offered at Yale, work on individual or collaborative projects, and conduct independent research.
• Event hosting
  • Global Fellows give lectures and participate in panels throughout Yale, sharing their knowledge and expertise with students and faculty.
• Supervision of students
  • World Fellows mentor students (undergraduate and graduate) who apply to be their liaisons. Student liaisons help World Fellows organize events and ensure that they are fully immersed in Yale life.
• Group travel
  • Fellows have the opportunity to explore the vibrant region, both on their own and on group trips to New York and Washington, DC, as well as a retreat in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains.

Benefits

Fixed remuneration :

• A taxable allowance to cover the cost of living in New Haven
• A modest, furnished one- or two-bedroom flat for the duration of the programme

2022 world stock exchange eligibility criteria

• The candidates must be between five and twenty-five years into their professional career, with a proven track record of significant achievement at regional, national or international level. The average age of a World Fellow is 39, although there is no minimum or maximum age limit.
• Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the United States. While candidates who hold dual nationality with the United States are eligible, strong preference is given to candidates whose work is concentrated outside the United States.
• Applicants must be fluent in English. An excellent command of the English language is essential for successful participation in the programme.
• Global Fellows must be in residence at Yale University in New Haven for the entire programme, which runs from mid-August to mid-December.

Criteria 

A few points to remember:

• You do not need to be affiliated with Yale University to appoint a candidate. They encourage and accept applications from anyone.
• Feel free to nominate more than one candidate.
• Please do not name yourself. If you wish to apply, you can register to be notified when the application is available.
• They don't give any preference to nominated candidates and a candidate doesn't need to be nominated to apply - it's simply a way of asking for your help in finding the most dynamic, creative and innovative leaders.
• Multiple applications from the same person do not increase their chances of being accepted.

Candidates must have :

• A record of extraordinary achievement and integrity.
• A commitment to good society and to making a positive impact locally, nationally or internationally.
• A promise of a future career in leadership and a significant global impact.
• A particular ability to think critically, creatively, entrepreneurially and strategically.
• A chance to benefit from participation in the programme and contribute to the global perspective on the Yale campus.
• A commitment to a rigorous programme of activities, a full-time residency at Yale for the duration of the programme, student mentoring and frequent campus visits.
