Nominations are now open for the Africa CEO Forum (ACF) 2022 Awards, which are designed to recognise Africa's business and private sector leaders.

The African Champion trophy underlines the role of the private sector in integration economic development. The prize is awarded to the company whose involvement on the continent has increased the most, thanks to a stronger presence in several regions and a coherent and consistent regional expansion strategy.

Eligible candidates ACF 2022 awards for African champion

• All company with sales of at least €50 million and a presence in at least three African countries.
• Application by dossier, nomination by a third party (company or individual), or identification by the AFRICA CEO FORUM editorial team.
• The winner of the 2019 African Champion Award is not eligible to compete.

Criteria ACF 2022 awards for African champion

• Number of African countries in which the company is present and breakdown by region
• Number of subsidiaries opened in Africa over the past year (excluding countries of origin)
• Number of jobs created in Africa over the past year (excluding country of origin)
• Share of total revenue generated in Africa (excluding country of origin) over the past year
• Level of increase (%) in sales in Africa (excluding countries of origin) over the past year
• Pan-African expansion strategy: main components of the strategy and progress against the overall plan
