On Saturday 20 July 2024, the Association des Jeunes pour le Dรฉveloppement et la Protection de l'Environnement (AJDPE) has renewed its commitment to keeping Ouahigouya green. This year's event was chaired by Mr Issouf OUEDRAOGO, Governor of the North Region, and sponsored by Mr Mamoudou OUEDRAOGO, Coordinator for the North Region. A2E. On this occasion, the Managing Director of the Burkinabe Fundraising Association (ABF), Mr Abdoulaye SAWADOGO, was the guest of honour, in the presence of Mr Idrissa OUEDRAOGO, President of the Conseil Supรฉrieur de la Communication (CSC).
AJDPE is one of 60 partner associations in the Giving for Change programme (GfC), piloted by the ABF, aims to strengthen the vegetation cover by restoring the landscape and the ecosystem in the face of current climatic challenges. The aim of this activity is to guarantee a green Ouahigouya for future generations. For this 2024 edition, the ambitious objective is to plant 1 million 400 thousand seedlings in the northern region of Burkina Faso.
