FAMAE is pleased to announce the Défi Innovations Sustainability, which aims to support innovative, practical solutions to combat climate change around the world, in areas such as waste, water, food, housing, energy and mobility.
Aim of the challenge
- The aim of the FAMAE endowment fund is to support innovation for the environment, by finding effective, sustainable and universal solutions to practical problems in the daily lives of hundreds of millions of people.
- These solutions enable them to save money while reducing their environmental footprint. To achieve this, FAMAE organises an international environmental innovation competition every year.
Information on funding, Sustainable Innovations Challenge
- A total of €1,000,000 in prize money will be awarded to one or more projects. In practical terms, this funding will be used for project-related expenses (i.e. product development costs, salaries, marketing expenses).
- The winner will receive funding from the sponsor to cover project-related expenses such as intellectual property protection, patent registration, product/industrial design, 2D/3D drawings, prototyping, manufacturing, shipping, marketing, monitoring, IT, incorporation of a legal entity.
- If necessary, this funding will cover the costs of third parties or salaries. Legally speaking, the funding will be provided either by a grant, an injection of equity or a loan (with or without repayment).
- If the applicant has chosen a philanthropic status (i.e. the intellectual property associated with the project is made available to all, free of charge), funding will be mainly in the form of a grant.
- If the applicant has chosen a different status (i.e. the intellectual property associated with the project is not freely available to all), funding will mainly take the form of an injection of equity and a loan (with or without repayment).
Eligible project
Solution proposed by a Candidate, whether an idea or an existing product or service. The solution must meet the following challenge: to develop solutions innovative to reduce the environmental footprint of human activities around the world.
Eligibility criteria for the Sustainable Innovations Challenge
- Le Competition is open to any legal entity, university, governmental/regional/local organisation, for-profit organisation (public limited company, partnership, etc.) or non-profit organisation (foundation, NGO, association, etc.).
- No individual or entity may register more than once (for example, using a different username/email address). Multiple registrations for a applicant using multiple identities are not permitted.
- FAMAE reserves the right to reject an entrant's entry if, in its sole discretion, the laws of the jurisdiction applicable to the entrant prohibit or restrict the Contest Sponsor from proceeding with the Contest as planned or from considering or awarding a prize. would impose additional administrative, tax, operational or legal burdens on the Contest Sponsor.
- Ineligible persons or entities :
- Neither the members of the Famae team nor the members of the jury are authorised to participate directly or indirectly with a candidate submitting a project. participation will result in the disqualification of the Application concerned.
