JWH initiative to support young environmental leaders Applications are now open for the Joke Waller-Hunter (JWH) initiative to stimulate youth leadership in environmental civil society organisations in order to find dedicated, skilled and competent leaders for the environmental movement in the developing world.
In order to promote lasting change towards a more sustainable world, the environmental movement is in constant need of inspiring and skilful leadership. Young people working for environmental CSOs, particularly in developing countries, often have few opportunities to develop leadership skills due to a lack of resources for schooling, training or practical learning.

Areas of interest |
The JWH initiative to support young environmental leaders creates opportunities for young people in the environmental sector in developing countries to reach their full potential. By providing small grants to individuals to broaden their knowledge, experience and training, the Initiative aims to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of environmental civil society organisations.
The mission of the JWH Initiative is therefore to provide a small, accessible and tailored grant for the education and training of people who have been identified by their organisation as potential future leaders.
